Chunkies are a molded item with nuts &/or fruits covered in pure chocolate to create a solid base of chocolate topped with nuts or fruit, depending on variety.
The backstory: In the 1930's my grandfather, Julius Rogak, made an item called Treats. My father, Martin, told me about them, but I never saw the molds. During one of our expansions, while moving boxes to make space, a box broke under a pile of vintage molds, there were my grandfathers treat molds!
We reintroduced them as chunkies!
